One Sweet One Night

One Sweet One Night

We went to this place called One Sweet One Night at Solaris, Dutamas. We come across this place in Groupon. One Sweet One Night serves western food. When we bought it the review was not bad but when we relook at the review again one week prior to our reservation the reviews were very bad. Nevertheless since we already paid for it we are still going to give it a try.

One Sweet One Night

From outside the design and ambiance is quite nice. However if you are sitting inside the shop you will see that half of the shop is full of boxes and a white clothes covering something underneath, below the piano is stuff with boxes and toilet rolls. Well not a very nice view to have while you are dinning. Wonder why can’t they stuff all these in a store room out of sight of their customer instead.

One Sweet One Night

The service when we went there were not as bad as the comments from other. We have made a prior reservation and upon reaching One Sweet One Night, we were told to wait for awhile as our table is occupied. After about 5 minutes, the couple left, table cleaned and we are seated.

One Sweet One Night

The waiter then comes with the menu in an ipad for us to choose. There are one or two cocktail drinks in the menu that are not available on that day.

The food was quite small portion but the taste was still ok. But i was rather disappointed by the fries that come with the chicken. The fries was cold (not even warm) and hard. Wonder how long they have kept the fries.
We also overhead the table next to us complaining to the waiter that their steak got no meat only bone.
Well i don’t think we will ever go again.

Kluang Station

Went to The Curve, Mutiara Damansara last weekend. We was hungry so we stop by Kluang Station in Ikano for some light food.

Kluang Station

We ordered iced barli, a hot chinese tea and a set of toast bread and half boil eggs.

Kluang Station
Kluang Station

The iced barli has almost half cup of barli in it! I thought i’m ordered barli drink not barli food?

Kluang Station

The toast bread was so so not even hot and the half boil eggs took forever to come. We even thought they miss out our order as we waited almost half an hour for the eggs.

The original Kluang Station in  Johor was much nicer!

Daorae at Desa Sri Hartamas

If you fancy BBQ-ing your own food you may try this Korean Restaurant call Daorae. Daorae have many branches all over Malaysia. However i prefer to go to their branch located at Desa Sri Hartamas. It is located above the Maybank. You cant miss the Maybank bright yellow sign board.

Daorae

This branch is usually full of people especially during the weekend. You may have to wait for awhile before you get your seat or you could go there earlier before it start to get packed.

We waited for about 15 minutes before we got our turn and are escorted to our table. The staffs there were polite and very busy running here and there serving the customers. You will have take off your shoes if you are seated in the raised platform (they have two design of seat-the traditional raised platform where you get to experience the Korean culture (this is how the traditional korea people eat) or the modern normal chair sitting)

Daorae

We ordered 2 marinated pork meat and 1 marinated chicken meat. The meat comes with the variety of side dishes including the famous Kimchi (preserved cabbage-a popular food in Korea). Daorae serves few types of meat among them are beef, chicken and pork. All the meat are marinated in various type of gravy such as herbs, sweet and sour and etc. If you fancy some soup Daorae also have various type of korean steamboat that you could order. The minimum order for BBQ meat is 2 plate of the meat of your choice.

Daorae

Daorae

How to eat the bbq-ed meat? Its really up to your taste but i like to wrapped the meat together with kimchi and other dish in the lettuce and stuff the whole thing into my mouth! I feel it taste nicer this way than just eating the bbq-ed meat alone.

Mojo

Finally its Friday!! Its lunch time and they have decided to go to Mojo for lunch. As most of us are still cold from the office air-cond, we opt to sit outside instead for some sun heat.

Mojo

Mojo is a place located along the heritage row near Sheraton hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Below is the view of  Mojo entrance.

Mojo

Mojo serves set lunch as well as alacarte, drinks and deserts. For Friday, they have nasi lemak set lunch or fish head noodles set lunch. The set lunch come with drinks. There are few drinks to choose from. Most of us chooses ice lemon tea while the rest chooses coke.

Mojo

Mojo has a mixture of western, asian and fusion cuisine on their menu. Though not really great food but its not that bad either.

Mojo

On certain days when Mojo is packed with people their service can be very slow! Especially during rainy days when most of  the working people around the area will flock to Mojo for lunch.

Its very near the Sheraton hotel and is within walking distance from Medan Tuanku monorail station.

If you are staying in Sheraton you may come here to try their food and at night they serves alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, mocktails too!

Tamarind Spring

Tamarind Spring serves Indochina cuisine. Tamarind Spring is located up a small hill in a housing neighbourhood. On the way up hill, you might see people feeding monkeys along the road.

Tamarind Spring

Tamarind Spring serves an interesting fusion of traditional and modern cuisine. Tamarind Spring has a calm and romantic ambience. It feel like you are having dinner in the middle of forest as Tamarind Springs is located in a dense forest as a place rich with lots of greenery and water features. A perfect romantic candle light dinner place for special event! Wink, wink !

Tamarind Spring

The transition from the main entrance of the restaurant is filled with candles and low light, giving off an atmosphere of romance and mystery. With scented candles and incense to burn is a good break from the lively atmosphere and is perfect for couple!

Tamarind Spring

We were served like a king upon our entrance. The waiter walk us to our table and we was given a warm towel to wipe!
While waiting for our food, we were served with crackers with thai chili sauce. Yummy!
We order a mixed vegetable dish, a tomyam steam fish and a roasted duck for our dinner!

Tamarind Spring
The mixed vegetable was nice! And the fish meat tasted fresh and full of tomyam flavour! Drooling thinking of it! But dint really fancy their roast duck though.

Tamarind Spring
I would say its a great place to dine in but not too often as the price was quite expensive. Do call up to make reservation too on special day like valentine’d day, new year eve and etc as they might be full.

Dry Chili Pan Mee - KL

Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee is located at Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman worth every bit 'of effort that has led us to find a restaurant. The shop is always full of people especially during lunch hour, and many had to share tables because of a huge crowd.

Kin Kin Pan Mee is famous for its dry chili pan mee and its chili flakes. The chili flakes goes very well with the noodles. Kin Kin Pan Mee serves either dry or soup pan mee. I personally prefer its dry pan mee.

Kin Kin

Our Pan Mee arrived shortly thereafter. One bowl cost RM5.50 but the portion is really small. We was pretty hungry so all of us order two bowl of dry pan mee! The accompanying ingredients are pretty standard: poached eggs, fried anchovies, ground pork. It is also served with a bowl of soup.

Kin Kin

How to eat? Add your desired amount of chili flakes into the bowl of pan mee and mix them together.
You could also take the monorail to Medan Tuanku station and walk to Kin Kin. Its about 10-15minutes walk.

Xenri - Jap Food in Old Klang Road

Xenri restoran is a Jap style atmosphere located off the busy Old Klang Road. The interior of this Japanese restaurant is bright and clean and offers visitors to eat in a quiet environment with flowing water sound. Customers can also appreciate the relaxing music.

Xenri

Xenri located in Wisma Elken, which is just across the Pearl Point Hotel. We love the atmosphere here. The exterior and interior of the restaurant was very well designed and decorated.

Xenri

Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm burnished bamboo plants, wood, varnished floors, sleek brown tables that will soothe your senses

Xenri

The menu is extensive, covering both traditional and modern Japanese cuisine as well as most of the kitchen in the land, such as teppanyaki and sushi sets. Try out specialty of the house if you are fully loaded in the pocket, it comes with a price slightly heavier.

Ribs by Vintry, KL

We went to this place call Ribs by Vintry in KL few weekend ago for some western food, snacks and wine.

Vintry
The ambience was not bad and its not too noisy. An ideal place to enjoy wine and some appetizers or snacks. Upon our entrance we were greeted by few rows of wine racks and sparkling Shiraz, and so on which are for sale. You can grab a bottle if you want.

Vintry

The Ribs by Vintry is the latest addition to the group Vintry (a wine specialist). Ribs, be it beef or pork, were their specialty at  Ribs by Vintry.

Vintry

A few steps away from the original Vintry, certainly need to satisfy hunger for meat. The interior is a fine blend of contemporary and rustic accents of its brick walls and comfortable sofas.

Vintry
We when we get there the place was quite packed, lucky we have made a reservation prior to that.
