Pak Putra, Melaka

This is one of my favourite local food in Melaka.

Tandoori chicken and butter garlic naan at Pak Putra is one of the best I've eaten. Juicy, smoky (with charred pieces), tender and absolutely delicious.

Pak Putra

Their Naan bread is always fresh and soft. Pak Putra is a famous restaurant in Malacca for its tandoori chicken and Naan. They have a normal range of Naan to go with the tandoori chicken. You can choose from plain, cheese, garlic, a mixture of some (but of course there will be more expensive), and the interesting Kashmir Nan.

Pak Putra

When you are in restaurant Pak Putra, Naan and Tandoori chicken is a must try. And i personally loves their mango lassi drink. They have other food in northern India, but i have never try.

Pak Putra
The chicken is marinated with herbs, spices, curry, turmeric, garlic, ginger, red pepper and a whole lot more not-so-secret secret ingredients, grilled to perfection, not too much or too dry. The chili powder gives the chicken an ultra-bright red color. The chicken comes with delicious Pudina (everything seems to be good here).

Pak Putra
The place was packed, but not to the brim.

When you're hungry after a meal of delicious and finger licking good tandoori chicken and naan, head down to Taman Kota Laksama Pak Putra restaurant. Pak Putra's tandoori chicken was very tender and moist and the mint sauce to go with it was superb!

The dim sum served here was good and yummy. Their service was quite fast too and its worth the money.

Would like to go again if i ever went to Melaka again.

Coconut Shake at Klebang

We drove down to Melaka on weekend. It was a one day trip for tasty local food.

On our way to Pantai Klebang, we saw a lot of cars by the road.We could not see what the noise was all about it was a long Q. We park our car nearby and join the Q.

Coconut Shake

It turn out to be a stall selling coconut shake. What this fuss with a coconut drink? Being curious, we joined the Q.  In fact a part of me was expecting something like a vanilla milkshake and it did nothing for my need to cool. The idea of
something rich and creamy was the exact opposite of something cool and refreshing.

Coconut Shake

Well, that long Q was worth it. The texture of the coconut shake was just perfect. I would definitely recommend to anyone who will give it a try Melaka. Believe me, you will not regret. I'll make sure I visit this place next time I'm in Melaka.

Coconut Shake

This coconut shake is right next to the Caltex gas station in Klebang, Melaka.

Coconut Shake

You can choose between regular shake or a special extra scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The shake is priced at RM1.50. You can choose to add ice cream at an extra RM0.50. Take away cost extra RM0.20 per cup. The coconut shake is a blend of young coconut meat and coconut water with walls’ ice cream vanilla ice cream to become rich, thick as a milkshake texture.

The place is always busy with the movement and people there is a table where the nuts are cracked and water is separated from the flesh. Another table contains the mixer full of ice and cold and ice. The meat of coconut water mixed with ice cubes, sugar syrup and vanilla walls' ice cream.

Would definetly stop again for this local delicacy when i’m in Melaka.
